Itinerary
Day 1
- Arrive Rome Fiumicino Airport.
- Pick up your rental car at the airport.
- After checking into the family resort Campsite I Pini, you will have time to explore the amazing cultural, religious and historic treasures that a city so enchanting as Rome has to offer. The resort also has shuttle service in case you want to head into the city in this manner.
- Recommended visits for today: The Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine, Vatican City, The Pantheon, the Roman Forum, The Catacombs and Via Appia Antica.
Day 2
- Breakfast at family resort.
- Walking tour around the city of Rome with a local guide that speaks your language to get better acquainted with the ins and outs of the city. Visit the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona on this tour through medieval quarters and hidden streets.
- Ask your guide for suggestions of other places to explore as Rome is filled with amazing attractions.
- You may choose to head back to the family resort for a nice rest, or explore some of the many local restaurants in the city center this evening.
Day 3
- Breakfast at family resort.
- For this day you can use the recommendations given by the tour guide, or just get a guide of the city and go with the flow. Either way, you'll love merging through the streets of enchanting Rome.
- Remember that there are also entertainment options and a nice swimming pool to take advantage of back at the resort for those warmer months.
Day 4
- Breakfast at family resort.
- Depart for Tuscany this morning.
- Check-in at campsite Norcenni, a true place for family time together and relaxation in the heart of Tuscany picturesque landscape.
- Once there, make the most of the day and catch a fist impression of local treasures like those on the medieval streets of San Gimignano with its sky-soaring towers, only twelve miles away.
Day 5
- Breakfast at family resort.
- This morning, you may choose to explore one of the many towns in Tuscany, such as Siena, Montepulciano, or even Lucca or Pisa. All are easily accessible with your rental car and offer amazing sightseeing opportunities.
- The resort staff will gladly offer suggestions on the best places to visit on how to best get there, all while enjoying scenic drives en route.
- There are also several wineries nearby, including that owned by the same owners of the resort.
- Take some time to also enjoy the beautiful amenities at the resort today. You can venture over to Figline Valdarno this evening to sample one of the great little restaurants in this charming town!
Day 6
- Breakfast at family resort.
- Walking tour around the city of Florence with a local guide that speaks your language. Visit the Piazza del Duomo, the Piazza della Signoria with the majestic Palazzo Vecchio, the Ponte Vecchio, and other Renaissance gems in the city.
- Ask your guide for suggestions of other places to explore this afternoon.
- You may wish to visit the Uffizi Galleries to marvel at Renaissance paintings by Italian masters or the Accademia Museum to get a close view of Michelangelo David.
- Make sure to stop at the Mercato Centrale for some great food and to browse the many stalls of the adjacent Mercato di San Lorenzo for fun souvenirs.
- You can also hit the road and make the most of your time in Tuscany, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy all of the fun that Norcenni campsite has to offer for all members of the family.
Day 7
- Breakfast at family resort.
- Depart for Venice, the last stop on your tour.
- You may choose to stop along the way, as you will pass through Bologna, Padova and other interesting towns!
- Check-in at the family resort Jolly, where you will enjoy true quality time with your family with plenty of outdoor options, just a few steps away from your cabin.
- In the afternoon you can go ahead and get lost in the romantic and magical city of Venice. Shuttle service is available in case you want to leave your car at the resort
Day 8
- Breakfast at family resort.
- Walking tour in St. Marks Square, in the heart of the city of Venice with a local guide that speaks your language. Visit the Cathedral of St. Mark and experience the monumental buildings in this square, including the Doges Palace, which you may want to visit during your leisurely afternoon.
- This afternoon, get lost in Venice, take the #1 Vaporetto for a Grand Canal Tour or simply wander the Streets of the colorful city on water.
- Venice has great osterias where you can enjoy typical seafood dishes and wines from the nearby Veneto region, and finding them is half the fun!
Day 9
- Breakfast at family resort (time permitting).
- Return flight back home from the Venice International Airport.
